With Brose product segment for electric motors, we have increased our edge as specialists in mechatronic systems and enhanced our value chain. We are the world market leader in drives for electronic braking systems (EBS), drive train actuators as well as cooling fan modules and we rank among the top suppliers with our products for HVAC blowers and electric power steering.
Through our electric motors and their various areas of application in the vehicle, we are better placed to meet requests for increased energy efficiency. For example the use of brushless motors in cooling fan modules enhance efficiency by up to 10 percent compared to conventional technology and provide weight savings of approx. 700 grams.
Both electric and hybrid vehicles as well as vehicles with internal combustion engines call for electrification of auxiliaries and new cooling concepts. This provides interesting application options for our drives – e.g. for electric water pumps or climate compressors.
