Success formula compact design
Smaller, compacter, lighter: Broses new window regulator generation.
Having a compact design is definitely the correct course to follow, not just because it means a simpler way of handling our products. Tilmann Seliger from the advanced development department says Broses new models of the car industry could be assembled theoretically one-handed at the customers production line. This shows that the new window regulators have not only become smaller, but also lighter. Compact means fewer single components, merged together with optimum coordination and higher performance. This is seen in the new motors which have shrunk merely in size.
As far as their performance is concerned, they have been optimized for the new systems and are designed to be used in the future 42 volt vehicle electrical system appearing in the distance on the automotive horizon. With this compact design Broses customers will still continue to have innovative safety functions like a reduction in the force of the electronic anti-trap feature as stipulated in the latest legal requirements. Development specialists cannot, of course, program market success as well. This should not, however, be necessary in the view of the fact that the new systems, despite their many advantages, cost even less than their predecessors.
