Presses installed without production being disrupted

The spectacular action, which involved a special crane positioning two presses, each weighing 115 tons, on their foundations through an opening in the roof, went off without any hitches at the Brose plant in mid-September.

There are currently extensive construction and organizational measures underway in an effort to boost efficiency in the press shop; these measures are to be completed by the end of the year.

Beginning in early 2003, steel rails for manual and power length adjusters are to be produced on both 800-ton presses.
