First vocational orientation day in the Brose apprentice training-center

Pupils had a chance to get a glimpse of Brose apprentices at their work.

Coburg. The Brose Group was the first company in the region to organize a vocational orientation day for 350 pupils attending high schools in the town and surrounding area. They took this opportunity to gain an insight into what goes on in a modern industrial company as well as getting information about the variety of apprenticeships and career prospects the company provides. The event took place in the company’s new apprentice training center.

After the event Michael Stammberger, head of the apprentice training center, concluded: “We have definitely succeeded in re-awaking the interest of many pupils in technical professions.”

At the Brose locations of Coburg and Hallstadt, there are, at the present time, 108 young people either doing technical and commercial apprenticeships or a combined degree program in conjunction with the university of cooperative education in Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen. In September 2002, another 45 young persons will be embarking on their apprenticeship at Brose.
