Brose receives award from Ford of Europe

During its top supplier meeting, Ford of Europe presented Brose with the “Supplier Design Engagement 2006” award in recognition of the partnerlike collaboration between the two companies (from l. to r.): Joe Bakaj (Vice President Product Development Ford of Europe), Torsten Greiner (Executive Vice-President Brose Group), Birgit Behrendt (Vice President Purchasing Ford of Europe), Jürgen Otto (CEO of the Brose Group) and John Fleming (President Ford of Europe).

Coburg (June 23, 2006). Ford of Europe has presented Brose with its "Supplier Design Engagement 2006" award. This prize expresses Ford’s appreciation of the collaborative achievements designed to provide the OEM with additional economic benefits through technical optimizations.

This award went to 21 out of 50 strategic Ford suppliers worldwide. They had drawn up a total of 800 measures resulting in cost savings of 13 million euros.

Jürgen Otto, CEO of the Brose Group,  received the award during the top supplier meeting in Niehl/Cologne. John Fleming, President Ford of Europe, Birgit Behrendt, Vice President Purchasing Ford of Europe, and Joe Bakaj, Vice President Product Development Ford of Europe, also attended the prize ceremony.

Brose supplies the Ford Group from 16 plants in Europe and overseas. Currently 39 vehicle models from the brands Ford, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, Lincoln and Mercury are equipped with window-regulators, door systems, seat adjusters and closure systems. The Ford Group is one of Brose’s most important and longest-standing customers.
