Bestens vertraut mit mechatronischen Systemen: Florian Pohl und Carolin Stegner montieren Elektromotoren an eine Vordersitz-Struktur.

Coburg (August 15, 2007). Two of the best DBFH apprentices to complete their dual training incorporating both a mechatronic apprenticeship and university entry qualifications work for Brose in Coburg: Carolin Stegner and Florian Pohl. In recognition of their excellent performance, the two 19-year-olds, both received a cash prize.

They were also honored by the vocational school in Kronach and the Adalbert-Raps-Fachoberschule Kulmbach for their excellent performance. The two Brose apprentices finished in first and third place respectively in the overall final exams.
Florian Pohl achieved an exceptional 1.1 grade in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce exams as well as in the university qualification tests. He received an additional award of 2,500 euros from the Adalbert-Raps Trust for being best in class at the vocational school. He had already come up top in his final apprenticeship exams at Coburg’s Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Carolin Stegner achieved an average final grade of 1.3 in her apprenticeship and university qualification exams. She was awarded a prize by the town of Kronach and 500 euros for coming in third by the Adalbert-Raps Trust.

Both of these young people will continue to work in Coburg for Brose in the Central Industrial Engineering department until they begin their studies in September 2007. Florian Pohl has opted for an electrical engineering degree at Coburg’s University of Applied Sciences. Carolin Stegner will go on to study mechatronics focusing on automation technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Esslingen.

Neither of them intends to lose touch with Brose during their studies: they will participate in company internship program for the duration of their time at university.

By offering the mechatronic DBFH, a dual program consisting of an apprenticeship as well as schooling for university entry qualifications, the international automotive supplier is able to provide talented and performance-driven students with a top training program beginning with an apprenticeship and ending with an engineering degree. After the first three years, the students from school have completed an apprenticeship as well as obtaining the necessary qualification to embark on a degree course.

They are also able to shorten their training period by a total of two and a half years.

After graduation from university, they will have promising career prospects and the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in an international environment by working at one of the 40 Brose locations worldwide.
