Brose apprentices pass exams with flying colors

Kathrin Reh, Matthias Bornschlegel, Ausbildungsleiter Michael Stammberger, Julia Roschlau, Jens Gleichmann, Philipp Barthelmann, Timo Renner, Florian Spörl, Philipp Spindler, Michaela Buhl, Johannes Freitag

Coburg (October 17, 2007). Twelve young men and women at Brose have successfully completed their apprenticeships and been taken on by the company. In future, they will work as mechatronic technicians, computer specialists, industrial assistants, tool mechanics and technical product designers in the company. One recently qualified industrial assistant has decided to begin a degree course at university.

Brose apprentices once again turned out to be among the top achievers of those qualifying from Coburg’s Chamber of Commerce. Mechatronic technician, Matthias Bornschlegel, passed his finals with a grade of 1.2, computer specialist Johannes Freitag with 1.3 and the industrial assistant Michaela Buhl with 1.4.The technical draughtsmen, Philipp Barthelmann and Florian Spörl, achieved equally good results.

During the official graduation ceremony in the Kongresshaus Rosengarten, Michaela Buhl had the honor, on behalf of all the qualifying apprentices, of reviewing the experiences and impressions they had gained during the years of their apprenticeship. For many years now, it has been a tradition of the IHK Coburg to select one of the year’s best students to hold such a speech.

Michael Stammberger, head of the Brose apprenticeship center, commented on the apprentices’ results, saying:” The fact that our young employees have performed as well as those in previous years proves just how motivated they are to do their bit to further increase Brose’s success in the market.”

Brose is currently training about 170 young people in eight commercial and technical occupations as well as three dual-degree programs at the University of Cooperative Education at the central locations of Coburg, Hallstadt and Wuppertal.
