Three “World Excellence Awards” for Brose
Coburg/Auburn Hills/Detroit, (April 27, 2007). Three production facilities of the Brose Group in Germany, Spain and Portugal have received the Ford Motor Company’s highest supplier honor, the “World Excellence Award”, which recognizes their exemplary performance and achievement levels with regard to costs, quality and supply reliability. Jan Kowal, President of Brose North America Inc., received the award during the presentation ceremony at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn/Michigan in April.
The Brose plant in Tondela/Portugal, which supplies the latches for the Jaguar X-Type and the Ford Mondeo, won Ford’s Gold World Excellence Award. The other two Brose plants in Saarwellingen and Sta. Margarida/Spain received the Silver Award. The Saarwellingen facility produces the door systems for the Ford Focus and the C-Max; Sta.Margarida produces the same for the Ford Focus built in Valencia and destined for the Spanish market.
“The Ford Group is one of the Brose Group’s longest-standing customers. We are therefore delighted to receive these distinctions, which at the same time encourage us to continue supplying world-class products from every single Brose plant,” said Jan Kowal, President of Brose North America Inc. at the awards ceremony in Dearborn.
The Brose Group supplies the Ford Group with systems and components for vehicle doors and seats from 17 facilities in Europe, America and South Africa. There are currently 38 vehicle models of the brands Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo equipped with Brose products.
