Group Gold Award to Brose North America, Inc.

Auburn Hills, Michigan (01.08.2005). Brose North America, Inc. announced today that its facility, which is responsible for engineering and producing window regulators for the Chrysler Group, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Award for outstanding performance during calendar year 2004. The exclusive award was given to Brose based on its high scores in quality, cost, technology and supply, and places the facility among the Chrysler Group’s highest rated suppliers.

“My congratulations to you and your employees for earning the Chrysler Group Gold Award for performance excellence to DaimlerChrysler Corporation in 2004,” said Robin Easterbrook, DaimlerChrysler senior procurement specialist, door modules. “This award is presented to your facility in recognition of outstanding performance within its competitive set.” Performance is based on the External Balanced Scorecard (EBSC), and uses value drivers such as cost, quality, supply and technology.

“Our Auburn Hills facility was responsible for engineering, and prototype productoin of vehicles including the complete LX vehicle line, which consists of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Magnum and Dodge Charger, as well as the CS platform which includes the Chrysler Pacifica,” said Jan Kowal, Brose North America president. “These vehicles have been well received in the marketplace, and we are proud to be recognized for our contributions to them.”

Auburn Hills was Brose’s second facility to be recognized with the prestigeous gold award this year. Brose Puebla was recognized with the award in May.
