Brose produces doors systems in the USA for the first time
Ford representatives were informed about Brose Chicago, Inc.s capabilities during the Grand Opening of the new Brose Plant (from left to right): Joe Sammut (Chief Nameplate Engineer), Philip Calhoun (Lean Manufacturing Manager, Vehicle Operations, Ford Chicago Assembly Plant), John Dunn (General Manager Brose Chicago), Jan Kowal (President Brose NA), as well as Michael Stoschek (CEO of the Brose Group).
We always want to be the best partner for Ford, explained Michael Stoschek, CEO of the Brose Group. He further expressed his hope to continue a successful and fair relationship with Ford, emphasizing the investment in the North American Brose plant.
The Ford Group is one of Broses longest lasting customers. This makes it even more enjoyable; with this product we have entered the door system market in North America. We are now able to demonstrate our proficiency here in the United States, stated Jan Kowal, President of Brose N. A, during the Grand Opening Ceremony. Held on October 6th, the attendees included several high-ranked Ford Executives.
Brose is currently expanding its North American business by building new locations in Detroit, Tuscaloosa (Alabama) and London (Canada). Sales volume in North America is expected to increase from $280 milllion (Euro 225 million) in 2004 to approximately $630 million in 2007.
