Tailor-made seat comfort

Brose Vital Seat
The Brose Vital Seat concept enhances safety and comfort in the car.

The Brose Group will be presenting its innovative Vital Seat concept at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. This seat concept includes extensive adjustment possibilities and comfort functions allowing car occupants to sit more comfortably und ultimately to drive more safely.

Every second car driver sits in the car for more than one and a half hours a day - often in a very rigid position, without many opportunities for posture correction. The Vital Seat concept with its extensive range of adjustment options for seat length, height, tilt, backrest and headrest enables the car driver to sit optimally. The Brose Vital Seat has a power lumbar support, the height and depth of which can be adjusted to provide optimal support for the car occupant’s back; it also has an electronically-controlled function for massaging the back, operating at the touch of a button.

Another new comfort innovation is the seat pan which gently rotates horizontally. Known as the Mikromotiv® principle, it is unique for car seats, relieving pressure on intervertebral discs and relaxing the back muscles.

Brose uses its own electronics know-how for the controlling components - the massage direction is controlled by a small electronic component whose chip is derived from the electronics used in millions of Brose window regulators. Additionally, the seat can also be equipped with power adjustable backrest side bolsters which provide secure support for the car occupants on winding roads.
