Brose Group among the four top suppliers world-wide

Coburg (05/2000). The Swedish automotive manufacturer Volvo Cars, which has been part of the Ford Group since 1999, presented Brose Ltd., the English plant of the Brose Group, with the "Award of Excellence 1999". Maurice Hanson, Production Team Director at Brose Ltd., and Steve Baker, Director of the Volvo Customer Team, received the sought-after trophy from the Volvo CEO Tuve Johannesson at the award ceremony in Gothenburg.

Of the 475 Volvo suppliers, 30 were nominated for showing outstanding performance with respect to development, quality, logistics and cost management. Only four of these companies finally received this award.

Due to involvement at an early stage of the product development, Brose achieved standardisation of window regulators for several vehicle models. At the same time costs for logistics and production were lowered whilst quality was improved.

From their English plant in Coventry, the Brose Group supplies electric window regulators for Volvo S80, S60 and V70.
