Comfort and safety in premium class cars

Double guided window regulator in the doors

Coburg. With more than 50 years‘ experience of working in close conjunction with Brose, DaimlerChrysler with its new SL class is once more displaying its confidence in the efficiency of the automotive supplier. With its power window regulators and power headrest adjusters, Brose has yet again made a major contribution in terms of comfort and safety.

Sophisticated technology in the door
The window regulator and glass together create a highly stable system in the door and rear area of the new SL-class. The exact guidance of the glass and the many adjustment possibilities of the window regulators fully meet the particularly difficult requirements for a roadster, which has neither a door frame nor B-pillar. The double guided window regulators in the doors as well as the sophisticated track-guided window regulator system in the rear area are particularly suitable for this model.

In interaction with the door electronics, the window regulators lower the glass by a few millimeters when the door is opened. By sliding the glass well into the sealing profile of the vehicle roof, this so-called short drop guarantees reliable sealing as well as ensuring pleasant acoustics in the passenger compartment when the car is travelling at high speed.
