Majority of capital in Chinese joint venture

The agreement about Brose International GmbH’s majority stake in Shanghai Brose Automotive Components Co., Ltd. was signed in Shanghai by Brose’s Executive Vice-President Kurt Sauernheimer and STEC’s General Manager Zhou Pei Lan.

(04/2001). Brose International GmbH and Shanghai SIIC Transportation Electric Co. Ltd. (STEC) have agreed to increase Brose International GmbH’s business share in the Shanghai Brose Automotive Components Co., Ltd from 50 to 60%. In March this agreement was signed in Shanghai. The German-Chinese joint venture in Anting/Shanghai, the center of the Chinese automotive industry, began manufacturing door systems for the VW Passat in June 2000. In the coming year it is planned to begin production for a further door system order. By 2003, the business volume is expected to increase to about 30 million euros and the number of employees to 100.
