The ice hockey team ETC Crimmitschau from Saxony plays in the 2nd Division and is one of the biggest and most popular ice hockey teams in the region.
After a strong showing last season, the declared aim of Doug Irwin, the club’s new Canadian coach, is to reach the playoffs in 2008/2009.

Since 2007 the Brose Group has been supporting the motor-racing team of its longstanding customer SEAT, which is participating successfully with five vehicles in the World Touring Car Championships (WTCC). It also sponsors the former Formula 1 pilot Tiago Monteiro (Portugal) from the Spanish Seat team. The partnership with Monteiro has existed since 2000.
