Production Plants and and Joint Ventures
The production plant in Rastatt located in the industrial park of Mercedes Benz went operational in December 2003. Up to 1000 variants of door systems for the A- and B-class are produced in cross-plant collaboration with Hallstadt and supplied just-in-sequence to the customer's own vehicle assembly line at Mercedes Benz. This means Brose products are ready for assembly in line with customer's own schedule just 60 to 80 minutes after receipt of the delivery order.
In Hallstadt, window regulators and seals are assembled onto the carrier plate. Final assembly is carried out in Rastatt when the door systems are equipped with wire harness, door control-unit, latch, loudspeaker and other components.
There are approx. 70 employees working for Brose in Rastatt.
