Production Plants and Joint Ventures

Brose's second Eastern European production facility near Ostrava not far from the Tatra plant went operational in September 2004. Manual and power seat adjusters as well as side-door and liftgate latches are produced here for almost twenty vehicle brands and leading seat manufacturers. The most important customers include BMW, Fiat and GM. Furtermore, in September 2007 Brose started the production of window regulators.

Working in a cross-plant collaboration, the Czech production facility supplies the Brose plants in Coburg, Wuppertal and London/Canada.
 
Apart from being equipped with manual and highly automated assembly technology, the production site in Ostrava also has its own pre-production facilities: a press shop and highly automated equipment for the surface treatment of stamped parts.

There are approx. 1,200 people working for Brose in Ostrava.
