Production Plants and Joint Ventures

Brose started large-volume just-in-sequence production and delivery of door systems in Meerane/Saxony in 1997. The first car model to be equipped with these products was the VW Passat.
The JIS plant, which was set up to supply VW in Mosel, was a pioneer of all subsequent Brose Group JIS production sites delivering products in line with the automaker’s own vehicle production schedule. Currently, the Brose Group equips 32 car models with door systems from twelve JIS plants in Europe and overseas. Hallmarks of just-in-sequence production and delivery are lean, process-capable and transparent assembly and logistics processes.
In Meerane, door systems for the VW Passat and the Skoda Superb are currently produced and supplied in line with the automaker’s own production to the VW plants of Mosel and Emden.
There are approximately 150 employees working for Brose in Meerane.
Certification: in line with ISO/TS 16949 : 2002 and ISO 14001 : 2004
